Creating and Sending a Private Offer in Flywl Beacon
Step-by-step guide to creating, configuring, and sending a private marketplace offer to a buyer using Flywl Beacon — from pricing to acceptance.
Creating a private offer in Beacon takes minutes. You configure pricing, terms, and incentives once — Beacon handles routing to the correct marketplace, buyer notification, and real-time deal tracking from the moment the offer is sent to the moment it closes.
Create and send an offer
Open Private Offers
In Beacon, click Private Offers in the left navigation, then click Create New Offer. This opens the offer builder, where you'll configure everything from buyer selection to incentive structure before sending.
Select the buyer
Search for the buyer account by company name or email domain. If Flywl has commit data for this buyer, Beacon automatically displays their EDP or MACC balance alongside a recommended drawdown amount — giving you the context you need to structure an offer that aligns with their budget.
Choose the marketplace
Select AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud based on where the buyer's committed spend sits. If Beacon has commit data for the account, it highlights the recommended marketplace option. See AWS vs Azure — when to use each for guidance on routing decisions.
Set pricing and terms
Enter the deal parameters:
- Contract value — total contract value (TCV) or annual recurring revenue (ARR)
- Payment schedule — upfront, annual, or monthly installments
- Contract duration — 1, 2, or 3 years
- Start date — when the subscription or license period begins
Add incentives
Optionally layer in buyer incentives to accelerate acceptance:
- Seller discount — reduces the buyer's list price directly
- Flywl Credit rebate — cash back for the buyer, funded by Flywl, separate from your quota
- FPOP (Flywl Private Offer Promotion) — if the account is eligible, adds a promotional cash rebate without impacting your quota attainment
Review the offer summary
Before sending, Beacon displays a full offer preview showing:
- The buyer's expected drawdown against their EDP or MACC
- The net price to the buyer after any credits or discounts
- Your net revenue after incentives
Confirm the numbers look right before proceeding.
Send the offer
Click Send to Buyer. Beacon submits the offer to the selected marketplace and sends a notification to the buyer. You can also copy a shareable link to send directly via email or your CRM if you want to add a personal note alongside the marketplace notification.
Track status
The offer moves to Sent in your pipeline view. Beacon sends you notifications when the buyer views, counters, or accepts the offer — so you always know where the deal stands without having to chase for updates.
Offer states explained
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved but not sent. You can still edit all fields freely. |
| Sent | Delivered to the buyer. Awaiting their review and internal approval. |
| Under Review | The buyer has opened the offer and is reviewing it internally — often routing to finance or procurement. |
| Countered | The buyer has requested changes to pricing, terms, or structure. Review their counter proposal in Beacon and decide whether to accept or negotiate further. |
| Accepted | The buyer accepted the offer. The transaction is now processing on the marketplace. |
| Closed | Transaction complete. Revenue is attributed in your Beacon dashboard and the buyer's commit balance has been decremented. |
| Expired | The offer exceeded its validity window without acceptance. You can reissue with updated terms. |
Once an offer reaches Accepted status, the terms are binding via the marketplace. You cannot edit pricing, duration, or payment schedule after acceptance. If changes are needed post-acceptance, you must void the existing transaction and issue a new offer.
Tips for faster acceptance
- Send offers with Flywl Credit rebates — buyers earn direct cash back, not just platform credits, which makes the financial case to their procurement team significantly easier to approve
- Include a 3-year term option — buyers with active EDP or MACC agreements often prefer multi-year deals to maximize drawdown against their committed spend; a 3-year option gives them a concrete path to do that
- Time offers near the buyer's renewal window — Beacon's buyer intent signals surface accounts that are approaching contract renewal, when budget decisions are actively in motion
- Reference the buyer's specific commit balance in your outreach — Compass hero reports give buyers a CFO-ready summary of their commit utilization, shortfalls, and savings potential, dramatically shortening the internal approval cycle
