AWS Marketplace Private Offers and CPPO with Beacon

Create AWS Marketplace private offers and Channel Partner Private Offers (CPPO) using Beacon. Maximize EDP drawdown and close enterprise deals faster.

AWS Marketplace is the most widely used cloud marketplace for enterprise software. Beacon's AWS integration lets you create standard private offers and CPPO deals that apply directly to buyers' Enterprise Discount Programs (EDP) — giving buyers a concrete financial reason to transact through the marketplace rather than their legacy procurement channel.

Standard private offers on AWS

A standard AWS private offer is a seller-to-buyer offer created directly in AWS Marketplace. The buyer sees the offer in their AWS Marketplace account and can review, negotiate, and accept without leaving the platform.

When routed through Beacon:

  • EDP drawdown applies automatically — the transaction value applies against the buyer's AWS Enterprise Discount Program commitment balance the moment the deal closes, with no manual steps required on either side
  • Flexible payment scheduling is available — for multi-year deals, buyers can choose upfront, annual, or monthly payment structures that align with their fiscal calendar and FP&A commitments
  • Flywl tracks the transaction from offer to close — Beacon monitors offer status in real time, from Sent through Accepted and Closed, and updates your pipeline automatically

Standard private offers are the right choice when you're selling directly to a known buyer and the buyer's committed spend is tied to their EDP agreement.

Channel Partner Private Offers (CPPO)

CPPO is an AWS Marketplace program that allows a channel partner — in this case, Flywl — to resell an ISV solution via a customized private offer on AWS Marketplace. Instead of the ISV selling directly to the buyer, Flywl acts as the transacting party, creating the private offer and managing the commercial relationship.

Key facts about CPPO with Flywl:

  • The transaction stays entirely within AWS Marketplace, so the buyer's EDP drawdown is preserved exactly as it would be on a direct offer — there's no reduction in drawdown value by going through a channel partner
  • Flywl's CPPO function drives deals forward — Flywl handles financial system reconciliation with the buyer, including chargeback allocation and cost center attribution, which removes the internal friction that often stalls marketplace adoption
  • Flywl manages MPOP and FPOP credit tracking on behalf of both parties, providing clear reporting on credits received and applied

When to use CPPO:

  • The buyer prefers to transact through Flywl as their procurement intermediary
  • The deal structure requires a third party to manage financial reconciliation or multi-vendor bundling
  • Flywl is actively co-selling with you on the account and is best positioned to interface with the buyer's procurement and finance teams

FPO + FPOP on AWS

Flywl enriches standard AWS private offers with additional incentive layers that aren't available on direct marketplace transactions:

  • FPOs (Flywl Private Offers) combine seller incentives, drawdown optimization, and Flywl Credit rebates into a single transaction. When you submit an offer as an FPO through Beacon, buyers see the full financial picture — their net price after credits and their updated EDP balance after drawdown — making internal approval faster and cleaner.
  • FPOPs (Flywl Private Offer Promotions) give buyers cash rebates without affecting your quota attainment. Standard marketplace promotions provide infrastructure credits that buyers often struggle to allocate in their reporting systems. FPOPs replace that with direct cash rebates that procurement teams can attribute and track without special handling.
  • Flywl tracks MPOP and FPOP credits and provides reporting to both the seller and buyer, closing the visibility gap that typically requires manual reconciliation across billing dashboards.

Tip

Flywl is an AWS Platinum partner and has closed $5M+ in AWS Marketplace deals — reaching Platinum status in record time. When you use Beacon for AWS private offers, Flywl's relationship with AWS partner sales managers can help accelerate approvals, surface co-sell opportunities, and connect you with qualified buyers who are actively looking to draw down their EDP commitments.

For AWS EDP deals, Flywl can assess the buyer's commitment standing, detect overages (where spend exceeds the original commit), and support renewal under a more appropriate agreement — all surfaced automatically in the deal flow so you're never caught off-guard by a buyer who's already overrun their commitment.
