Upload and Connect Your Software Inventory to Compass
Import your software inventory into Compass so Flywl can match vendors to marketplace listings and surface commit optimization and savings opportunities.
Connecting your software inventory is the first step to unlocking Compass's savings recommendations. Once Flywl knows what software you're buying — and from whom — it can match every vendor to their marketplace listing, identify which purchases can be routed through your cloud commits, and surface savings you may be missing.
How to upload your inventory
Navigate to Inventory > Import
In Compass, navigate to Inventory > Add Inventory.
Choose your import method
Select the method that best fits your setup:
- Drag and drop: Upload a CSV file with columns for vendor name, product name, contract value, and renewal date.
- Coupa integration: If you use Coupa, connect it in Settings > Integrations — your full purchase history imports automatically.
- ServiceNow integration: Connect ServiceNow in Settings > Integrations for IT asset management data.
Compass processes your catalog
Compass processes your catalog and automatically matches vendors to their FUID (Flywl Unique ID) and marketplace listings.
Review match results
Review the match results — flagged items with low confidence matching appear for manual confirmation.
Confirm and analyze
Confirm matches and click Analyze — Compass generates your commit optimization report.
What Compass matches
For each vendor in your inventory, Compass:
- Finds their listing on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Marketplace
- Checks if the product is eligible for commit drawdown (EDP/MACC)
- Calculates how much of your current out-of-pocket spend could be converted to marketplace spend
- Identifies if any vendors offer Flywl Private Offers (FPOs) with additional rebates
Keeping your inventory current
Once your inventory is connected, Compass helps you keep it up to date:
- Auto-sync: If Coupa or ServiceNow is connected, inventory updates automatically when new purchases are made.
- Manual updates: Re-upload a new CSV at any time to refresh your catalog.
- Renewal alerts: Compass tracks contract end dates and alerts you 90, 60, and 30 days before renewal so you never miss an optimization window.
Your inventory data is used only to generate recommendations within your Compass account. Flywl does not share your vendor list or spend data with third parties.
