ServiceNow Integration: Sync Marketplace Purchases with ITSM

Connect Flywl Compass to ServiceNow to automatically update your IT asset management records when marketplace software purchases are completed.

The ServiceNow integration keeps your IT asset management records in sync with your cloud marketplace purchases. When a transaction completes in Compass, ServiceNow automatically creates or updates the asset record — so your CMDB stays accurate without manual updates.

What the ServiceNow integration does

  • Creates software asset records in ServiceNow's CMDB for completed marketplace purchases
  • Updates existing asset records when renewals or upgrades are processed through Compass
  • Imports your existing ServiceNow software asset data into Compass for commit optimization analysis
  • Triggers ServiceNow workflows (e.g., license provisioning tickets) when a new software purchase completes
  • Maps Flywl FUID to ServiceNow's software catalog item for standardized record-keeping

The ServiceNow integration is read/write. Compass reads existing software asset records to build your inventory baseline, and writes new records for marketplace purchases. You can configure the write behavior (create only, or create and update) in the integration settings.
